I'm set on getting a dwarf puffer, currently in the planning stages; can I ask your thoughts on a tank ive been looking at called "Betta Lifespace"?

Details are 35 litres/9 gallon. 14inchx11inchx14inch

What attracts me most to the tank is that it has an overhead wet dry filter similar to the aquaone tanks, giving a wide filter surface area.

I'm probably intermediate level at fishkeeping, so water quality wouldn't be my concern, more tank size for life.

Also I have still to look into diet etc so feel free to advise on that too.

Thanks

Agreed that that tank should be good for a solo dwarf puffer...

Just add in some plants and driftwood and bobs your uncle...

As for feeding, dwarfs are pretty easy going and can live off bloodworms or live black worms...

Thought I'd give you guys an update on the dwarf puffer set-up. Tank has a cool overhead wet/dry filter, with built in pump below the water

Might want to add some driftwood and anubias in there when you get your puffer to make it feel more comfortable...

For sure :) right now its no-where near ready for habitation, still needs cycled, decorated and planted. I have one of these instant cycle products that I used ages ago, little apprehensive of using it but going to give it a try. May also use a little fertiliser for anubias I'm going to put in.

^ i thought it may have already been cycled... But yeah, i guess a little bit of ferts may help, although becareful of any algae that may start growing due to the extra nutrients...

Either way, should be cool once setup ;)

Be sure to add lots of plants and driftwood, I've noticed that dwarf puffers can get bored and start "pacing" the tank. Think of adding some cheap shrimp and snails to keep him occupied.
