ok, so i need to know as much as i can about them. i saw some at the lfs about a 1/4" long, neat lookin little guys. and really really cheap. so.......

1. Water Parameters- (brackish- yes or no)

2. Max Size-

3. Min. Tank Size- for say a group of 5-10

4. Food-

5. Tankmates-

6. Plants- (live or plastic)

id figure id do a little research and ask you guys too. so thanks in advance :headbang2

Freshwater. I do the tablespoon per 10 gallons of water.

1 inch

2 to 3 gallons per fish.

They're being commercially bred so pretty much anything depending on the fish, but I make my girlfriend supplement frozen bloodworms and brineshrimp. I I've also introduced Guppy fry to her tank and watched them all disappear in a matter of weeks. But that could be do to a number of things.

No advice.

LOTS of plants. Live and/or fake.

i keep these little guys myself

1. my research said that they are 100% fresh but i know for a fact salt doesnt hurt them, tablespoon per 10 gals is a good rule of thumb as stated before

2. 1 inch

3. id recommed 3 gallons per fish. u could probably keep 10 in a 29 safely.

4. my 3 in a 10 gallon planted are very finicky eaters, ive tried everything. They are so skinny but they never eat it makes me really sad. i do found that they will eat snails and live black worms, both of which are seemingly impossible to find around here.

5. i keep mine with neon tetras and otos. 5 otos and 6 neon tetras to me exact

6. lots of plants, these are barbaric creatures and they will loose sight of each other when one is chasing another which will help prevent aggresion.

hope this answer any of your questions, ask again if u need anything else.

nope they are completely 100% fresh. and i think five would be fine for your 29 you might could even and a couple. full size is 3/4s to an inch long. in terms of food, everything AtomixIGN said is perfect for them. i couldnt tell you anything about tank mates

No that's right. I'm one of those people who adds a little aquarium salt to all my tanks. The concentration and type of salt used in Brackish set-ups is much much higher.

5 Dwarf Puffers in a planted 29 would be beautiful. You can try shrimp and ottos in there too. I've read different things about tankmates. The set-up I have at my girlfriends house is a 15 gallon hex with 3 1/2 dwarf puffers, 8 pink danios, a pair of albino cory cats, an an otto. It's a pink tank with pink gravel, pink plants, and pink and white fish. The Puffers leave the danios alone, not that they could ever catch them. But they've nipped the cory cats to no ill effect yet.
