Set up a 10 gallon planted tank a while back with the intention of keeping dwarf puffers in it, after getting my breeding colony of cherry shrimp established I finally picked up 2 dwarf puffers. What i'd like to know is will the puffers eat adult shrimp as well? (i'm completely fine with that if they do) and will the shrimp be enough to keep the teeth in check or should they still be getting snails? Lastly, should I just stick with 2 or would 1 or 2 more be ok.

I would say 5 will work for that setup. Also, they sometimes hunt as a "pack" and when they do, they will take down an adult shrimp.
1 DP/3-5g, so no more than 3 puffers in there. Best would be 3 females. I keep a pair in my 10g, along with 3 sm loaches & plan on getting 3 otos.
Many folks have luck with keeping DPs with cherry shrimp. DPs rarely have dentistry problems like other puffers do.

both are females, I made sure to scoop 2 females out of the batch, I was planning on sticking with just the 2 but I would also like to try breeding them at some point but not right away, will there be a lot of fighting if I try to add a male later?
