I've got 2 dwarf puffers in a 20 gal tank and been told a few times they are a species only fish but have read some people have had sucsess keeping them with alge eaters like a plec was wandering if anyone's had any success keeping them with different species?

In the past i've "successfully" kept them with ottos in the sense that worst thing that happened was a few nipped fins here and there...
If the tank was bigger say 50-60G i would maybe say other small fast schooling fish could work, but in a 20G even if its decorated doesnt leave much space to escape so would stick with just ottos with the dwarfs...
Cheers for the advice mate I will try ottos with them see how they get on if they start nipping to much will just move them to one of the other tanks cheers mate
