I have a 3.5 gallon with just a dwarf frog. I have been considering adding a dwarf puffer. Does anyone know if they would get along or does this end with a dwarf frog amputee or a ttx poisoned frog (either way not good for the frog)?

That’s what I was thinking. Do you think that would change in a bigger tank or are they always just incompatible regardless?

I believe that you can not realistically get a tank big enough to make them Cohab.

Got it. I won’t do it then. Thanks!
Yeah I say that's the best option there. Honestly I would imagine them getting along for the first few hours or so but once that puffer notices them tasty (worm like) toes and eats a couple I would imagine the rest of the day to be a major blood bath. That and having a really fat and happy puffer at the end.

Lets also not forget a lonely dwarf puffer + a frog in a 3.5g is probably not that ideal either, instead would most likely find more enjoyment keeping 3 - 5 dwarf puffers in a 15G

If you are board with the frog I would get another one and breed them. They are really easy, and it is more fun when you have tadpoles bouncing around. Or you can get a mystery snail. I like watching mine cruise around.

I used to have the frog with a betta and some other fish, but they have since passed on and I’m left with just the frog. I may upgrade but probably will just get some more frogs. Thanks everyone!
