i have one 10in jardini aro, one 10in mono peacock bass, one 11in RTCxTSN, ans one 8in lionfish. im planning to add one 8in dwarf snakehead into the tank. the four fish are currently in a 100gal 48x19x23. would the snakehead be the bully, or the bullied? new to the snakehead scene, just happen to come across one and couldnt resist. the hiding spots in the tank are all ready occupied by the cat and the lion. looking for any kind of advice!!!

Thanks all!!!

Your tank is overstocked IMO. A jardini alone is your biggest problem here. Cramped quarters can fuel its aggression towards other tankmates.

LoL... Jars and other species ain't gonna go well...

the dwarf snakehead , will be a snack for those guys in no-time at all , he would mega stressed while he lived.

new to the snakehead scene ,just happen to come across one and couldnt resist.

this statement reads as if you allready bought him (if you didnt then please leave him in the shop), if you have bought him , what type is he or shot a pic up for id , then at least we can see what we are dealing with , dwarf is a term used that covers snakehead from as small as 4" to as large 14" it also covers fish from temperate areas sub-tropical and tropical areas .

like others have mentioned your main problem is allready here , the fish you have selected and put into your aquarium ,although all great fish they are totally not suited to your set-up

your jardini arow will outgrow and be extreamly aggressive very soon
your cichla will out grow very soon
your tsnxrtc will out grow very soon
your lionfish reqs brackish water or will eventually suffer with fugal infection

what you need to realise is that no matter what you hear your rtc x tsn and your aro will req a bare minimum of 3ft wide tank and that is if they are stunnted .
your cichla a bare minimum or 2.5 ft width
and all would need a lenght of around 8ft , so unless you have a 8ft x 3ft tank ready for them in less than a year with the view that you would probably need to make that bigger also ,i would seriously sit and have a rethink of your tank stock , and i would rethink now while they are all at the size you can sell them at , not many people wanting to buy large rtc x tsn , as not many people can house them .

dont take this as a dig , we all just want to stop you making the same mistakes as a lot of us have done ,and learned the hard way
