Dwarf Snakeheads as a pet

anyone keep a chana guacha? im trying to get one to put into a 50 gallon. i'd keep the water at about 80. do you think it will live up to its name?

Hi mate yes have had quite a few Snakeheads including Dwarf Snakeheads. I have a breed Pair of Channa gaucha they breed easily and are mouth brooders. Channa Orientalis reach a length of about 8", are the dwarf snakeheads as aggressive Compared to the other snakeheads? They are not real aggressive to their species unless they are spawning and I have had them in tanks with all sorts of fish unlike the larger relatives it’s the old can it fit in its mouth rule. They are a cool fish that can fit into a sensible size tank and you can put other fish with them as long as you think about it before hand like no Neon’s. Hope this help

I have rainbow (bleheri) but I know that north of here they are selling gachuas.

Most dwarf species are pretty, but not that aggressive. Gachua is probably the largest and most aggressive of the dwarf species.
