Hmmm....maybe im wrong but i have never heard of a Dwarf Wolf Fish....Do you mean the smallest species of Wolf Fish...? If you do I could be of some help. The Scientific name would be erythrinus erythrinus. Like stated these are the smallest of the Wolf Fish family and usually reach between 8-10in. They are the least aggressive of the Wolf Fish and can have tankmates, but usually dont get along w/ each other. I belive for a full grown specimen a 75g would be fine. They cn be fed live and frozen foods. Feeders as long as they are disease free and not coldwater fish (goldies, rosies, and etc.) To much fat in these fish. Use tropical feeders, as well as shrimp, krill, insects, tilapia, and etc. Jus make sure to vary the diet and I have seen some also eat certain pellets. They are also the most active out of the Wolf family. As far as where to get them, check LFS in your area if not then check here on the forum. Check in the Vendors section, they're not to hard to find. A great fish to own. Im no expert, but I hope this helps and I hope this is the fish you are referring to....;)

actually the golds are more active than the rainbow/reds (ery ery) but probably get a bit bigger than what he is looking for. also a 55g would be fine for a single ery ery. they only grow to about 8".

yeah some ery ery are active, the two i've owned no so much, but they do chill on the bottom sometimes. gold rarely ever hang out on the bottom. they are either swimming or hovering about 80-90% of time.

I do know when the Gold outgrows the Red its a WRAP.....he'll eat the Red. Erys max are between 8-10in and the Golds are like 15-18in. So "NO" I wouldnt do it. I think I have read where its bn done b4, all fish are different, but for the most part when the Gold gets larger it will most likely mean trouble for the Red.

i wouldnt try golds with reds.
what sevendreamz said pretty much wraps it up.
but in reds the activity varies alot.
ive had some that will sit in their cave and attack anything near.
ive had some that swam all the time.
never stopping.
but in golds most are very active.

what is the scientific name for golds?
