I think my 65 gallon sump is leaking. I tried silicone over where I think the leak is but i am pretty sure this will fail. Before I cut out all the silicone and reseal the tank I want to be certain there is indeed a leak. I was going to use methylene blue for dye to look for the leak. Can I just use food coloring dye? any reason not to use it?
thanks

it could dye the silicone in your tank blue.. not that it would matter. why not dry it off and then place it on a towel and see where the leak comes from. not sure how dye would help locate the leak

should be fine, just take out all the media and rinse it out good after.
