DYI experience? plecostomus vs Rubber waterproofing

Has anyone used a rubber waterproofing solution in a DYI plywood tank and then kept a pleco in it? I'm curious if a large pleco would damage the rubber.

ive heard of a pleco chewing through it form a lfs owner in the area but dont really know ime

Pond Coat liquid rubber coating has 850% elasticity, is puncture resistant, and self-healing. No pleco is going to chew through it.
