Hey all,
Any help with this is greatly appreciated! I decided to sump my 75 gallon tank and used an E Shopps Eclipse M overflow; since I didn't want this thing leaking all over my living room I put everything together in my garage and let it run for 2 weeks before doing anything else. No leaks, no issues, and no drama - so I took everything apart and moved it into my living room.
Well not more than a day or so of having this thing setup, I noticed an incessant leak coming from between the back pane of glass and the external overflow box. I was able to eliminate the internal weir as the source/origin of the leak as I siliconed it into place to ensure it was level. I pulled the external box off and the gaskets seemed to be warped so I was hopeful that it would be a simple fix. I spoke with the team at E Shopps and they gave me new gaskets and suggested I try Aladdin Magic lube as well. Well I went ahead and threw the new gaskets on and still the same deal - leaking on the back pane of glass.
I'm pretty frustrated, especially given the fact that everything seemed to work fine before I brought it in my house - anyone have any suggestions or remedies to try? I am close to just throwing silicone on everything and reassembling.
