I know, it's early. With that said I have noticed two distinct patterns on the Jags and feel like I know the sex and would like anyones opinion who has the beans to put it on the line to help me make up my mind. Out of the three the smallest two are, and have always been, darker, bluer and with much more pronounced vertical black bars running along their bodies. After scouring the internet for any information I can find and talking to a few people I have come to believe that these two guys are males. The larger much more yellow Jag has a very pronounced black line running along its side from gill to tail. It has little to no vertical bars. I think this one is a lady. The Dovii is Costa Rican and I am hoping it is a female as well, opinions on that fish would also be appreciated. In the pictures you can hopefully see the differences. I used my phone, and believe it or not it works better than my camera. Thanks for looking and please feel free to chime in, I will weigh everyones opinion as a whole unless someone is cocky enough to outright convince me. It's in MFK's hands now. GO FLYERS!
