So CAl.
Thinking about feeding my Acarichthys heckelii and Blue Acara some sort of vegi, fruit, or lettuce. Any body have experience?

I blanche zucchini for my Geophagus, Satanoperca and Gymnogeophagus. They actually prefer the cheap ones to the 'organic' ones. You can chop it into 1/4" thick discs, boil for 2 minutes, drop them into cold water for 30 seconds, then cut off the skin and chop the remainder into bite-sized pieces. I feed this twice per week. Peas are also a good option.

I feed Peas, Spiraluna Infused Brine Shrimp, 3 types of NLS (Which I believe is quite high in vegetable matter as it's a good diet for Tropheus and Malawi's - I'm not sure on the exact ingredients and couldn't be bothered checking), NLS H2O Stable Wafers, and Hikari Cichlid Excel.

Peas aren't a big hit but they still get eaten, so I'm feeding them a little less now that my Heroines have been removed from the tank, but the rest is much loved. Zucchini and Cucumber for my Plecos is generally picked at by them too.
