I recently started using Earthworm septic bacteria in my fish tank. It is a bare bottom tank and I noticed that this stuff is not dissolving and is forming some clumps at the bottom of the tank. Just curious if this is typical or if there is a cause for concern.

My guess would be that what you are seeing is the medium that the dry bacteria spores are packaged in, typically it will be ground bran, or something similar.

Thanks RD. I read through a large chunk of the thread as that is how I picked this product. From what I read, it seemed like for most people pretty much whatever was dumped in the tank dissolved, but that does not seem to be the case here. Not sure if its because my tank is bare bottom so you can see everything easier. If all that stuff is, is the medium I will just siphon it out when I do my water changes.
