So I started using earthworm septic based on the probiotics thread. I used the amount recommended for my 180g. I went to change it out today after being in my tanks for two weeks and OMG did it stink. Literally smelt like a portal toilet. It also clump together looking like feces. Is this suppose to happen?

I had similar experience with rid-x that I put in a bag in my sump. I reread the thread and I will be dissolving it in water and pouring the liquid only into my sump and flushing the solids out to my leech field tomorrow when I do my weekly water change

I guess once you dissolve whatever you can, the bacteria you want is in the water? I guess this makes it a little bit easier than sticking in ito a baggy and then leaving it in your tank. Would I be able to use a strainer to make sure to minimize debris? I don't have a sump, instead using 3 AC110s on my 180g.

LOL, are you sure no-one actually did a turd in there?

I leave it in a mesh bag the day of wc's and squeeze the crap out of it until it clouds the water really good then through out the day I repeat this.. Next day I remove the mesh bag and dump the left over bran
