Ive fed my fish earthworms in the past that i dug up and washed off, and ive read online that its safe as long as you know there isnt any chemicals on them. Well i was wondering since my fish LOVE to eat them, would it be ok to go to get a small container of earth worms (the ones used for fishing) from like a fishing store and feed those to my fish? just wondering if maybe they might be dangerous to the fish....

I think if it was it would be dangerous to us if we eat what we caught.
Where at in MI?
Fantastic Fins in livonia has good deals on live food.

I feed my fish nightcrawlers all the time from the bait store.

do you just buy them and clean the dirt off?

i think its good. but i would never feed my fish worms because i have a phobia of worms. everytime i go fishing with my dad i make him hook my worm haha lol.....

I was feeding my Pbass worms for a little bit in a bare bottom tank and she was pooping out tiny lil rocks that wouldn't get sucked up by my gravel vac:irked:.
Just thought I'd share that and suggest you rinse them good:D.

of course. lol :grinno:

I buy them at Walmart. THeir just plain old bait ones. Wash them in water and your set to go.

it's all good. my lfs sells night crawlers in the same styrofoam cups that you get them in from local bait shops. i asked them about their source. it turns out that they purchase them from the same source that local bait shops do. They're all grown on farms and are chemically free.
