for all those worms... it all varies depending on the size of your aro.
blood worms - when they are young (way too small to feed a larger aro)
meal worms - middle age
super worms - adult
not too sure about maggots and earthworms. im sure it would be ok. all the above is great food, but gets costly.
quick advice... heard once you get them on meal worms and super worms... they get hooked and you would probably have to starve them to get them off it.

Earthworms much easier to breed than superworms.. Im thinking of cultivating my own.. also for feeds with my oscars and pacus 
If your cultivating your own, then it should be fine. Never feed your fish with insects caught outside in the garden or whatever. You don't know if they've been in contact with insecticides.
Since my aro doesn't eat pellets, I gutload my SW with aro pellets.
