Hi

I have a tank with 7 Cyrtocara moorii @ 2 1/2 in and 9 Clown loaches @ 1 1/2 in

What do you think about feeding earthworms to those fish? I tried and they like it very much but I'm worried about parasites and stuff like that.. is there a danger? ..I fed the worms alive and in 1 piece...

after 3 weeks from feeding them 2 -3 worms .. not every day though.. I observed that some Cyrtocara and few Clowns hit the stones like having Ich or something.. but they don't present spots or other symptoms... and I raised the temperature to 30 C ( or 85- 86 F ) for few days...

what do you suggest? to feed the worms from now on?

I hope I made myself understand, my english is not 100% accurate :nilly:

I've fed my africans earthworms and grubs that I've dug up in my garden, they seem to be fine... my guess is, if none of them die then its okay. But I'm no expert.

Don't worry, your english is fine... better than most people that speak it everyday.

I don't feed African lake fish earthworms. In my opinion, too much terrestrial protein and may cause bloat. For other folks, it works though.

For new world or African riverine cichlids, worms are fine.
