Earthworms for salt water fish?

On occasion I give my fish earthworms. Today I had too many for my fresh water fish to eat, and I gave some to my saltwater fish (goby, blenny, squirrelfish, scorpionfish). They ate vigorously. Should I be doing this?

Dont think there's much nutrition in earth worms unless your gut loading them.

I am certainly no biologist but I think there should be no problem with it.

I understand they are very fatty though, if it were me I would probably do it only as a "treat" unless someone with authority on the subject of fish nutrition told me otherwise.

I feed them to my triggers all the time. Free source of whole food nutrition.
