Earthworms?

I use to feed my Australian bass and silver perch whole garden worms straight from the the garden; although ive heard some people put them in milk for like 20 secs or something before going into the tank, somthing about making the worms throw-up the dirt and scraps they have digested. But i never did this and my fish loved eating them

im at the point now where i want to switch them off feeders. i saw petsmart sells night crawlers in a dish so i figured why not. even though my guys are small would they be able to break down the earth worm if i gave it whole. and if im trying to feed them krill should i soak the krill before feeding? what else can i try to feed to get these small guys off they dont react to pellets, just blood worms sometimes

if you have a compost pile or a manure pile, you can always get tons of earthworms in there, ive always fed them to my tt eel and occasionally to my other fish. They always love them and have never gotten sick
