It took me ONE day to get my bass, warmouth and gar to eat directly from my hand. I converted them all from feeders to freeze dried krill in ONE day. Wow I thought it would be harder! The gar is very gentle when taking from my fingers! The bass tries to eat my fingers haha
EDIT ADD MY YELLOW TAIL BARRACUDA TO THE HAND FEEDING! USUALLY THEY NEVER ACCEPT DEAD FOOD LET ALONE FROM FINGERS HAHA!

next feeding session i will try to get a video....one more question. So far I feed the fish in my sig FD Krill (the barracuda took it but it was too big for him to swallow) and rosie reds. I plan on adding market shrimp to the list. WHat would be a good staple diet for the fish. I was thinking of picking up some carnivorous Hikari sinking pellets. Anything else recommended?

idk they are really used to me I guess. I fed them just feeders for about 1 1/2 weeks. The gar has always been friendly. He will usually chill at the bottom till I get home and then come to the top of the tank. The gar will always brush against my arm wanting to be rubbed I guess haha. I would hold the krill with my fingers barely in the water and at first they were unsure but the gar took a piece. Then the smallest warmouth took one then they just started eating it like crazy. for the barracuda I would hold a little piece and twitch it and he grabbed it gently. The piece was too big after trying for a couple of minutes he spit it out and I gave him some feeders for trying. The two Limas will only eat feeders though..
