Ok I live in eastern Tn, Knoxville to be specific, and was wonder ig there is anyone on here from nearby that my have some advice as far as fishing locally. Especially regarding catfish...big catfish but any tips would be appreciated. Considering I send an average of 30+ hours a week fishing I'd like to find a place I can catch some real giants. The biggest thing I've caught around here was a 31" channel cat and that's not big for them. Also, if anyone wanted to get together for some fishing I'm game. Thanks, James

i went to lake reelfoot in the top west corner on tn. i saw a mount in a local restruant of a 5ft 100+lb blue cat. I heard there was other monsters in there.

I'm not much of a catfisherman, but I know there are big guys in some of the main channel reservoirs. Most of the really big ones I've heard of in the state have been in the warm shallow lakes like Reelfoot, Kentucky, and Barkley. I don't think they get as big in the colder, deeper reservoirs. Fort Loudon's probably got some lunker blues.
