I just noticed today that my 2.5 year old eastern painted has slightly cloudy eyes. Not really bad, but they are not clear like normal. The setup is a plastic tub with basking spot and uvb. Water temp is 70-72. Her diet is mostly mazuri and sera pellets, occasional bloodworms. Weekly water changes and good filtration.

I looked it up a bit and found vitamin a deficiency and bacterial infection as potential issues. Vet is an option if need be, but there is a lot to be desired in terms of qualified herp vets around here. Any ideas? Thanks

I'd recommend picking up some Zoomed Turtle Eye Drops. They do a really good job at clearing up the problem plus it has vitamin A in it. Does your turtle eat veggies? You could try adding grated carrot, yellow squash and zucchini to it's diet. All are loaded with vitamin A.

Ah i did read about those eye drops. Has never eaten veggies, could never get her too. Never tried squash though.

I noticed it about an hour ago when i posted, just after doing a 100% wc. Doesn't seem to be as noticeable as of a few min ago. I'll keep an eye on it.
