Eastern Painted Turtle w/ African Cichlids?

don't attempt it. this is a horrible idea to try b/c the turtle needs it own kind of setup which includes lots of land or areas outside the water. this also wouldn't work since the cichlids would continuously bully the turtle and like said, depending upon what kind could even kill the painted. no turtle is a good mix with cichlids
no thank you for being responsible and not trying it out and then panicking for help after the fact. 
Yepp. like it has already been said a very bad mix, the turtle needs access to land and their own specialised diet consisting of meaty feed, sea food etc... and shelled food is also good as it keeps their beak trimmed and also offers them calcium and things which they need for correct shell and nail growth 
I tried a long tail turtle in a tank with spotted barbs and a silver aro. I had a floating island, turtle food and a separate "holiday" pond in the sun. I bought them 2 weeks apart, they died mysteriously after a month, 2 weeks apart.
Even the barbs managed to do some light damage to them it seems. I didn't even think put them near my ciclids, they will kill anything.
