What lil breeders could I get going in a 20 gal breeder tank? I've got one sitting empty that I'd like to use to breed some feeders. It's too small for 1 pair of cons right? THX

I'm not sure if you are refering to a 20 long or high but doesn't matter. Cons will breed and work great in that setup. I would also have a 10g handy to toss the fry into before using them as feeders.

I am currently breeding 2 different pairs of cons. 1 Pair is in a 10 gal producing fry every 4 weeks or so. And a pair in a 20 gal long and they produce fry about every 5-6 weeks. I say you should'nt have any problems putting a pair of cons in a 20 gal long. But i would recommend not putting any more than 1 male and 1 female in the tank or you could have alot of fighting going on. Good luck....
Yes there are special rquirements. ADD WATER,lol. Basically its all you need. I put 1 flower pot in and presto. I syphon out the fry once they get to the free swimming stage and then place them in a 10 gal tank. After that they are netted and fed to my kigoma frontosa's or mixed african cichlid tank.
