Walmart, and bait shops are generally your best options.

HOWEVER, there is another option that is a BLAST!! Works best after a rain, or if you have heavily watered your yard. ;)

WORM HARVESTER

LOL- just zap the worms with a little electricity and they will come a runnin....

Or if you have a garden, worms are usually close to the surface if you have any close to the ground plants. Or right under dandilions if you do some weeding. :D

This works especially well if you water it the night before because worms can't breath when there is too much water in the ground forcing them to the surface.

The electricity really does work but the most reliable way is to start a compost pile which sits on the ground. On a 1m x 1m x 1m sized pile I can get over a litre of worms weekly.

Me and my dad used to do something similar when I was a kid.

:iagree: The easiest and fastest way that I have found is throw some compost material out, like bread, veggies etc. then lay a piece of plywood over it. Wait a week or 2 and you'll have plenty. It's a bit of an eyesore though. If you don't have a place to do it out of sight then a traditional compost pile may be best.

if these are for feeding fish, careful with outside worms. they eat the soil as they tunnel, and let it pass through them. if they happen t be eating a fertilized garden, your fish could injest that.

- use a shovel to turn over topsoil and search(instant search)
- get that electricity thing cuz it looks awesome(wait for delivery)
- put down a big piece of cardboard and check underneath it every day(some planning)
- grab a flashlight and search your yard at night, after rain(gotta wait)
