easy fish to breed for a feeder fish?

im looking into breeding some fish to feed to my arowanas.. Does anyone know any fast growingb and reproducing fish?

i was in the same boat as you, I did the research and had the guppies and the convicts... cons hands down, they tend their own fry making them a low maintenance, food source and breed just as fast, if not faster. Try getting your aro on pellets though, colors are better imho. Better for health all together... however there is nothing wrong with a live treat every so often.


also, I have really enjoyed watching my cons. I feel like guppys are boring, the cons are good parents and a great fish with personality.. guppies only want food and sex.

+1. My con pair has provided me hours of entertainment. Guppies are like robots only programmed to do 2 things- want food and want sex, like jvai said. Cons have a ton of personality- mine eat out of my hand, before only my male did, but my female seen him do it, so now she does too. When I press my finger against the glass, my male follows it around. No Guppy that I know of will do any of that!
