I would like to know what is a easy fish to breed. I want to later on breed Temensis PBass (One of my dreams). I would prefer a fish that doesn't need a tank over 75 gallons, as that's the only extra tank I got.

I always here mollies r easy to breed but for me they all begin to get sick. They need salt right? I want to also try my hand at breeding. I have some cons but I think I want to try platys first.

Everyone seems to be suggesting convicts. How do you tell the difference between male and female?

If you goal is to eventually breed Peacock Bass, then it would be good to start with a substrate spawner. Convicts are an easy one to start with. You can look at their fry either as a good live food source, or you will eventually end up with way too many of them. Firemouths may be slightly more challenging, but are also suitable for someone starting out with breeding.

How much do convicts run for? Never kept convicts before. Using the fry as a live food is a good idea.
