Hey Guys,

So I would like to add a live plant to my little betta tank. But the problem is, low lighting and regular gravel. The light bulb it has now is a 7 watt incandescent. 7 watts is the max the lamp can use, but I am going to change it to a fluorescent. Anyway, There's only a few plants I can think of that might be able to survive a set up like this.

The plants I am thinking of are Java fern, Java Moss, Anacharis, and bamboo (I know its not true aquatic).

I'm really interested in the first 3 suggestions, but I only want/need one plant for the tank. What do you think the choice should be and do you think any have a chance to survive? Thanks

Java fern, java moss will both work. Other options are wisteria, anubias or crypts. They should all survive albeit grow slowly but they wont give you much trouble in terms of needs or care.

I second the comment on anubias . . . very easy, and go great with bettas . . .

Java ferns are pretty resilliant, I think they'll do ok.
