i don't think it would work.
The water in the water bed is enclosed in a thick shell which helps reduce weight against the frame. There is not as much pressure against the frame as there would be with pond liner. I don't know if that made sense. Only way to find out is to try it

it would work its to shallow to have that much pressure but long term i wouldnt try to much worry for long term might as well fram something better yourself using the wood from teh water bed frame atleast thats my oppinion
Some extra braces and a few cross-beams over the top would support it just fine..
If the waterbed happened to be 4x8 you could use a sheet of plywood as a 'lid' and just jig out some doors w/ hinges..
I will have a good DIY project in the near future for cost-effective ray ponds..

I tried to convince my parents to let me turn the swimming pool into a ray pond. No such luck.
I guess I could just put em in anyways and let everyone swim with them

Hopefully your pool is all-natural and dosn't have chlorine
I like the rubbermaid tubs too, but I think the waterbed might look nice if you do it up right.. the tubs.. look like tubs.
