a while back my family had a trio (1 male and 2 females) of toad headed agamas, and they bred, but they died of worms. then we had a pair (1 male, 1 female) of leopard geckos, and they bred, but my mom made me and my brother sell the tank. none of the eggs hatched because of problems while they were incubating, like the agamas basically drowned in water and mold, because my cousin pushed the container that they were in under the water.:irked:

anyways, i was wondering if there was any kind of reptile (preferably lizard) that lay eggs that DON'T need to be incubated seperatly from their parents.

thanks in advance for taking the time.:)

Pretty much any lizard that bury them and don't eat their youngs. Anoles are not one of them, they eat their youngs.

Along time ago my first pair of Leopard geckos laid an egg or eggs, which I didn't know about. One morning when I went to turn on their light, a little baby gecko was sitting on top of a rock in the tank. All my other species of lizards that I breed, I incubated the eggs. Never tried leaving them in the tanks before.

Bearded Dragons are easy to breed. But theirs always a chance of the parents eating the eggs in any species.

blue tounge skinks are easy to breed and they dont lay eggs. They are parental and give live birth to a few young usually two or three. Also monkey skinks or solomen island skinks also dont lay eggs. These can be costly in price but well worth it.

BTS's aren't that easy from what I've read. Not to mention that it's nigh impossible to determine male from females w/o probing.

And monkey-tail skinks are now protected under CITIES so getting one at all is going to be pretty hard.

i would do geckos..
