After a cichlidpocalypse in my 55 gallon, I sold off my stock, and I'm thinking of moving into another field. Snakes, reptiles, small mammals, anything that's cool and good for a beginner. I've seen Ball Pythons, Corn Snakes and Tokay Geckos, and am considering all of them. They must be:

Relatively Affordable
Prekilled or cricket diet, no live mice
Easy to care for
Handleable

Thanks :)

Try something different. Get an Alligator. I had two in a 75 gallon. They are very hardy animals. I payed $40 each for them and they were 8 inches. they ate raw chicken

snakes
king snake
corn snake
ball python
sand boas

there are so many u can try and are easy to care for .what do u prefer?? when i started i had kings and corns, both easy to get to take pre killed mice , easy heating requirements . u can also go geckos and many species are easy to care for as well .

as for the alligator i really hope that was a joke . no way an alligator is a beginner animal.

I got the alligator is not for beginners thing, I doubt I could handle it either ;)

Can King/Milk snakes feed on dead mice? I really like them but there's no way I can get live.

yea man , most i have kept , just defrost the mouse , make sure its room temp and dangle it near them . the motion usually triggers a feeding response.
