The floor my 40 gallon breeder is sitting on is not level. I don't have many options as to where to move it, and I want to level it. The stand is an aquatic fundamentals stand, it has a large flat particle board laying on the carpet, four particle board walls, and the top where the tank sits. I can put shims, but it would create pressure points. Should I put foam under the tank and under the stand? would this create instability? Its way over the 1/4" mark and looks bad. Is my only option to make custom long shims? Thanks.

ps. I know this sounds like a typical question, I couldn't find any threads through the search....

Wood shims under the stand will level the setup. Also, placing smaller tanks on a styrofoam pad will help to accomplish the final leveling since water seeks to level itself.
