what product? what is easylife?

Easylife is a name of a company which produces stuff for fishfreaks.
One of their products is , for short, called Easylife.
It is a very porous stone, zeolite, grinded to dust, dissolved in water.
It captures molecules in its holes. So medicine, chlorine, copper, etc.
are stuck and from here I dunno anymore :D

But I use it too. For several years now.
Right now I have little pebbles of zeolite, which I grind to dust in my former kitchengrinder. I dont know its english translation, but jack-screw wont cover the picture I think.

Zeolite does the same as activated charcoal.
For me it helps capturing nitrate/phosphate peaks on an easier way then
charcoal.
Try to find zeolite powder. Does the same as Easylife and costs far less.

i was wondering exactly how it worked, and now i know.i must look for the zeolite and try that.as for the easylife i am very happy with the results. as for the cost i buy it in 5ltr drums and dont need a seperate dechlorinator. so i really dont find the cost off-putting.
anyone else using it?

yea, hooray for easylife. Where do you get the 5ltr drums? Just cleaned the filter on my cichlid tank and changed water in 300ltr...bottle gone!!!

It creates a suspended environment for bacteria to grow on rapidly to detox whatever is in the aquarium ... minerals rather than chemical action .. bacteria bloom quickly depending on what substrate is in excess .. kind of like bactozyme

I think it's a precipitate and possibly has some ionic action
