I know chameleons will occsionally eat them and it is ok. I'm not 100% sure about AWD's, but I would think it would be fine.

its a non toxic plant so it should be fine they probly do this in the wild occasully

I'm pretty sure your AWD will be fine. I had an iguana that ate ficus leaves and never had any issues as a result of it.
