OK. THis will be an odd one here. From an odd person. LOL
Ok maybe not, maybe someone has posted this question.
I had a couple rainbow trout that I suspected were mildly poisoned when I had a spike in Nitrites and one time ammonia spike recently. Both went away after I have developed a circular pattern along the bottom of tanks to 'gather' the waste a bit more confined and added more filter bags.
SOOO. Question, they were still alive but I knew had problems from the Nitrites and/or ammonia.
Levels in the tank reached 1-2ppm. for over night.
IS it safe to eat those fish? Because I did and damn they were tasty.
I would think it would be fine in humans. I ate 2 of them mabye 8 inches long. THe brookie was about 5 inches.
The only time I eat my own fish is from the big brood tank after 3 years or the ponds and streams.
Thanks.
