my Fossochromis Rostratus has gotten very skiny so i thort my be some sort of internal bacteria, so i put him in his own tank and try feeding him but noticed he kept spiting out the pellets then i gave him some frozen food and was eating that but for long time he has been fine on pellets any clues?

Any signs of disease?
Loss of color? A fat belly? Popped eyes? Stringy clear feces?

Try soaking the pellets in garlic. Garlic is used to entice eating and helps speed up metabolism.

sometimes they just need a little convincing. It happens. They just decide they don't want to eat that food any more. What are you feeding?
