I have a sen. bichir and a pleco in a ten gallon tank together and they get together fine, except when i feed them. They feel the need to steal each others food. When i drop in the algae wafers for my pleco my bichir eats them too. i was wondering if they are ok for him to eat or if i should stop feeding the wafers.

Algae wafers are ok for him to eat, but he needs a varied diet with other high fat and high protein foods. Is it a common pleco? A 10 gallon is way too small for a senegal and a common pleco.

Its a common pleco and i feed them shimp pellets, wafers, krill ect. They're still small my bichir is about 4.5 and the pleco is about 3". i plan on upgrading when i get a chance.
