I asked about these awhile back. I wasn't brave enough to order them, however my friend was.
He ordered them back in February.

I haven't had much communication with him since he moved. He is down here on vacation and I asked him about how they are doing and what they looked like and only one survived.
This is how it grew out:

I'm sure everyone knows already not to trust an unreliable source, but it's just a reminder.

That's the unfortunate thing about Trimac nowadays. There have been so many hybridized fish pawned off as pure Trimac, you never know. Your friend was ripped off. I am familiar with the photo that he used in that ad. It's a friend of mine from New Jersey's fish. You dodged a bullet not ordering whatever the hell that is.

def not a trimac. That sucks that they werent and they died. Should look into cichlidsoftheamericas(COA), Cichlidconnection(CC) and a few others in Florida. A lot of good sources over where you are.

I am planning on ordering mine from Rapps when I do get set-up.

He thought it was worth the risk, $40 is still too much to gamble for me.
