i think i understand it but make corrections if im wrong.

1. Breed a male ebjd with a female JD and then you get blue gene offspring.
2. you pick a female blue gene to breed with the original ebjd. then you should get 25% ebjd and 75%blue gene. so am i right?

Sounds right

Breeding a BGJD to a EBJD will produce 50% BGJD and 50% EBJD ;)

Blue Dempseys suffer from very common effects of inbreeding depression... Many people associated with Blue Dempseys believe that their poor health is related to excessive inbreeding...

Breeding the Blue Genes back to the Father is not necessary and is a lazy man's way to breed them (in my opinion).

My suggestion is, if your going to do it do it right and diversify the genetics... low grade Blue Dempseys are easy enough to find without another person inbreeding them...

Are the two ebjd males brothers? If thats the case your not changing up the bloodline much. Try to get your breeders from various areas to help freshen up the gene pool.

EDIT: or just buy an bgjd female and eliminate the need to grow one out from a fry size. Just my 2 cents.

I know there are a couple of people her that have bgjd fry for sale. Just buy those and breed them with your ebjd, but make sure they are not related for best results.
