Last night I moved my EBJDs to another tank because I am selling the one they were in. They are about 1.5'' and the only other fish in the tank with them was a 2'' Raphael Striped catfish. I woke up this morning to look in my tank and there was only 1 EBJD!!!! Did the catfish eat it? I mean like I said it was only about 1/2 inch bigger than my EBJD I didnt think anything of it.. What do you think?

If you checked all the caves, ornaments, etc and can't find a body, then yes the catfish probably ate it. Also check the filters (I've found ground fish in canister filters before) and the floor around and behind the tank (also found fish that jumped and dried under the tank stand). The mouth of a raphael catfish just doesn't seem big enough to swallow a fish almost its size.

That's what I thought too. That's why I didnt think anything of it! I checked around the floor, I checked the filter, and nothing. The only thing I can see on the bottom of the tank is a little piece of skin that looked like brine shrimp. Maybe that's him =(. I removed the Raphael, and I still have my 1 EBJD. Hopefully nothing happens to him.

That Catfish did it... MY bumblebee cat ate both of my Yellow Wonder Killiefish this week! :(

Well kind of, but not alot really...

Ive had this happen so many times which is why i no longer keep catfish. Ive also have my fish get into the filter tubes which sucks.

Catfish ate it. They feed mostly at night and are very opportunistic. Any sleeping fish will do if it can fit in its mouth. My Raphael was usually the culprit of missing fish when I kept one.
