Im growing out an ebjd in a 40 breeder. Other current inhabitants are 1 l075 2 raphael cats and a syno euriptis. Im planning to add 2 thin bar dats and 2 mono peacocks of similar size, beyond different growth rates can you see any potential problems?

2.5-3"

just make sure he can't get eaten by the other fish.

They are all about the same size atm. Im really only worried about the peacockbass growing too quickly, but if that happens Ill set up a different tank for them.

I only have experience with one EBJD, but I've always kept him with fish that were either smaller than he was, or just less aggressive . . . so first he was with female convicts, but then they outgrew him . . . so now he is with port acaras and gymnos, which are same size, but fairly docile

he does seem to have an amazingly sl-o-o-o-o-w growth rate

just make sure no one is picking on him, you'll be fine

cool thanks

I grow out my Blue Dempseys with Dwarf Cichlids or non Cichlids (Tetras, guppies & similar)...

I keep my adult Blue Dempseys with all sorts of stuff. Everything from yougn adult Trimacs to Adult male Apistos... it all depends on the specimen in question...

He/she is actually kind of aggressive for an ebjd in my experience, not to the point where hes going to kill or really hurt anything but he does enjoy live food and occasionally chasing the pleco around the tank.

I would think the p. bass would outgrow and eat the EBJDs....could be wrong though.

I've got my pair with a shoal of yo-yo loaches and a few silver mollies.
