I have a 55 gallon tank that I would like to make an EBJD the centerpiece of. I would also like to stock it with various tetras (lemon, bleeding heart, Buenos Aires, etc). How many tetras could be stocked in the tank with the EBJD?

Also, I also have a red severum in another tank that is currently running. Could the red severum and EBJD co-exist in a 55 gallon tank with a group of tetras as well? How many tetras could go into a tank alongside the severum and EBJD?

how big is the EBJD and severum? And i would do some buenos aires tetra.

i would do the ebjd with a couple dozen tetras. skip adding the sev.

an ebjd with a sev? id get atleast a 75 for them plus schooling fish. 55 ( 12 inch wide ) is just to small for a sev, some have done it with good results but thats just my oppinion

Sev gets pretty big, but mostly not agressive. Probably not a good idea though. I know EBJD are more passive, but I'm curious if they will eat the tetras.

Sooner or later they will if they can catch then.

My ebjds slowly go through all the molly's in their tank. Some survive and get big nuf but most don't.

zebra danios might work. i hear they're fast

Anything remotely fast will be enough. My ebjds are like fat cats chasing a mouse, their laziness is funny.

ive got a pair of EBJD's in a 240 litre with a red severum and they have had absolutely no problems being together at all, not sure about the tetras though, maybe something bigger like congo tetras?
