had my 2.5" ebjd for 2 months now n was eatin great (hikari ciichlid gold), he is in a 60g with clown loaches, past three days now he has been more sluggish, darker, not eating, hidin, the pellets just float by n he doesnt even attempt. this guy was an amazing eater. his poop is clear (not white) n stringy loose. im thinkin 25% wc n jungle parasite or aqual sol, what u guys think? also parameters r all zero, 80F. i dont know how he got the parasites though b/c when i got him his poop was white + stringy but when i got him on hikari his poop was thick n brown

EBJD and internal paracites... such a common siutation. I would try the jungle med, or something with metro in it.
I would act fast as he may not last long :(

agree on the treatment, some metro, and I believe that med has prazi in it too if I'm not mistaken

BLOAT.......

This is what i did and i would recommend you do it RIGHT AWAY.

Use jungle parasite clear. Treat him and do the treatment 3 time in a row. every other day with water change in between. Bump the heat to 86-90. Do not feed him until he starts begging for food. Keep the lights off all but for an hour or so a day. The parasites do not do well under high heat low light. The clear poop is a sure sign just as the white it is the stomach making mucus to try and help the insides that are being eaten.

After this get some frozen food that he will eat no blood worms except by hakiari. The others arent very sterile and gave mine the paristies. Take a ¼ of the tablet of JPC and stick that about a half cup of tank water and the frozen (blood worms or brine shrimp or whatever) food and let it soak in the fridge overnight them pour out the excess water and feed him it. Do not feed him the food until you have started the 3rd treatment (he probably won’t eat until then anyways).

I have had 5 EBJD come back this way and lost 1. But the one I lost was from a very week strain and never did real well anyways.

Good luck and if you need any info i will be glad to try and help. Pm me

Most fish all carry internal parasites. Just when they get stressed or something the parasites start to take over. These don’t harm most fish but ebjd for some reason cannot cope with it. So it sounds like your fish has had them and they just started to start their attack.
