I was told this fish that I bought was a female EBJD. Nonetheless, it is a pretty fish IMO. She is 8' long and 3 years old. So, is this an EBJD or a regular female JD?

While I am a little disappointed that it isn't an EBJD I am kind of glad because now I know its not as vulnerable to diseases. I've had her for 2 days and she has yet to eat. She is really scared when I come close to the tank. Hopefully it will subside soon.

This is common when adding new fish to a tank. Give her a few days to acclimate to her new environment and associate you with food and I'm sure she'll be your best friend in no time.

yeah def a normal female JD, she should darken up some too once she gets comfortable in the tank, hope you didnt pay ebjd price! and by the way at that size an ebjd should be just as hardy as a regular JD its mainly at smaller sizes that they are more vulnerable, if they had strong enough genes to make it to that size then they would be fine

You have a nice looking JD.
