The VILLE
My 265 gallon is now cycling i want to keep ebjds so i want to hear from people who have them. I want to know what fish they keep them with etc. and any advice would be help full.

Mine keeps to himself. I have a whole mix of fish in my 240 from big to small, aggressive to Freakin insane. I like EBJD's.

i guess i should mention that im running a 36 watt turbo twist on a fx5 and another fx5 just for extra filtration and 2 1140 power heads to add current

I have had mine with a Jag, cuban, FH, and two reg JD in a 125 with no problems. But It really depends on the fish and their personality's.

My 2 are just 4" yet, they're in a 55 g with 6 Albino Corys, a 2" Raphael catfish and a Bristlenose. When they get to 6" they'll get a 75 g. That would be a gorgeous tank with several EBJD's. The aggression level of mine is pretty low but that's probably because they're still young.

I’ve raised several groups of Blue Dempseys and I find the males to be just as aggressive and territorial with one another as Standard Dempseys tend to be. So just like with other Cichlids, I wouldn’t suggest keeping multiple males in the same tank, especially if you have females of the same species in the tank.

My stronger Blue Dempseys have proven to be just as tough as my standards, and therefore do well with the same kind of tankmates as standard Dempseys.

So what is the growth rate of these wonderful fish and does any one have specific breeders that they recommend my lfs can get them at about 30 dollars for a 1 inch fish. There is a great article on the ebjd and breeding in tropical fish hobbiest this month.

you would or would not
