I have read that when jack dempseys get bigger they get much more lazier. Is that true?

Same...I have a jack dempsey and a gold jack...and they hide until the lights go out

Mine did come out however, to murder everyone else; before going back to hiding, which was possibly the most infuriating thing ever lol

Yeah... so i have about 10 of them in my house... in 4 different tanks. None of them hide except my breeding pair wihch is in a 75... when you have a extremely large tank i think they feel more safe.. i have 2 in my 300. they dont hide at all... my breeding pair on the other hand.... scared everytime i feed.

Depends on each individual fish. I have an 8/9 inch JD.
I go a week or 2 sometime without seeing her at all.
