Ebjd question

Hi guys, I got an ebjd about 3 weeks ago, he\she is in a 29g grow out tank. Just curious what the growth rate is for these guys?

Mine grew pretty fast, but I've heard others on here say theirs didn't. When mine was small, I fed him a lot more than I do now. I got him at about 2" a couple of years ago, and now he's easily 9" or more.
