I have a question about EBJD behavior. One of my EBJD is resting upside down. ?!?!? Other than that, it swims around normally and eats like a champ. We just got these little guys when my husband won 2 1" EBJDs at the SoCal meet. We brought them home, and put them in a quarantine tank. Good thing as they developed ick. I can't tell if this is due to being sick or if this little guy is just a weirdo. If not for the fact that he's otherwise acting like nothing is wrong, I'd assume he was on his way out.
I am treating them with CopperSafe, and raised the temp to 84. The pH has been and is about 6.6-6.8, ammonia is 0, nitrite 0, and nitrate is almost 0. These guys are eating wonderfully, and are generally exploring the tank like nothing is wrong. However, one of the EBJD seems to rest upside down, but then 'gets up' and swims around normally and eats.
This is not a behavior I am used to seeing, and wondering if anyone who owns EBJD see this kind of resting position.
