I successfully raised an EBJD in a 65 Gal. with no issues. He grew to about nine inches, in five years, and spent his last days in a 120 Gal. You should have no problems.

300 liters, so it's probably more than 12" wide right?
I would be comfortable keeping one in a tank that size for life. May attack your other fish at some point, though lots of people have had success keeping them with community fish. I would say give it a shot and keep an eye out for aggression

Well went out today and picked up a ebjd there was only 1 left yesterday they had 3 so did'nt have much to choose from was a bit worried as it is very small about an inch and a half looked a bit washed out in the shop but may have been the lights even looks washed in my photos but in the tank has a nice blue colours. I am going to put it in my 55 lt tank for now and let it put on some size before it goes into one of my 300 lt tank's

Tank size will be fine for life. Good luck.

I have put the ebjd in my 55 lt grow out tank until it puts on a bit more size he is in there with 5 juvenile yoyo loaches. Within 7 hours of me briging him home he has claimed the coconut shell cave that is in the tank and as soon as the loaches go near the cave he chases them away 5 onto 1 and he is holding his own he has dominated the tank already and is so tiny.
